Bahama Beach Club, with a history spanning more than 50 years, will celebrate a major milestone in its rebuilding journey tomorrow morning at 8:30. The first homes will be set into place at 5370 Estero Boulevard. Beach Talk Radio will be there to broadcast the event live.
Unlike a traditional groundbreaking ceremony, Bahama Beach Club’s event will celebrate the arrival and placement of the community’s first modular homes as they are flown into place by crane — a powerful and emotional moment symbolizing resilience, recovery, and the continuation of a legacy deeply rooted in Fort Myers Beach history.
Originally established in the late 1960s and early 1970s, Bahama Beach Club became known for its intimate beachfront charm and colorful bungalow-style homes that welcomed generations of families, owners, and vacationers to the island year after year.
