Cape Coral police arrest two suspects in armed home invasion

CAPE CORAL, Florida — Two men have been arrested following an armed home invasion in Northwest Cape Coral, according to the Cape Coral Police Department.

On May 21, 2026, officers responded to a residence where an adult male victim reported being attacked by two males who entered his bedroom, pistol-whipped him, and stole items from his home. The victim identified one suspect as “Palmer” and noted the second male was frequently seen with him. Both suspects allegedly struck the victim with a black handgun, threatened him, and stole his money and wallet, according to a press release from the department.

Home surveillance footage corroborated the victim’s account, showing the suspects leaving in a dark blue Pontiac. Detectives identified the suspects as Palmer J. Aikens, 41, and Steven P. Ryan, 44, both of whom were later located traveling in Ryan’s vehicle. A high-risk traffic stop was conducted, and both men were taken into custody…
