HUNTINGTON COUNTY, Ind. (WPTA) – The Huntington County Humane Society is waiving adoption fees for adult dogs and cats for the next two weeks as the shelter reaches capacity with over 200 animals.
The shelter, the only one in Huntington County, is facing an unusually early surge in animal intakes as warmer months approach.
“We always know that the summer months are going to stretch our time, our resources, and our capacity thin,” said Katy Hudson, Huntington County Humane Society board president. “That happens every single year so that’s not new to us.”…
