Bystander suffers minor burns after garage catches fire in Fort Wayne

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) A bystander suffered a minor burn after a garage caught fire at a home on Fort Wayne’s northeast side early Thursday morning.

Fire crews were called to the 3000 block of Sandarac Lane just before midnight according to a press release from the Fort Wayne Fire Department. Firefighters found a fire in the garage and began to put it out while a search was done of the house to make sure no one was inside.

Eight people inside the home were able to get out, however a bystander suffered a minor burn. The fire department warns people to never go back inside a structure that’s burning. It took 15 minutes to put the fire completely out…
