FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) – Six people were injured when a semi crashed into a Fort Wayne laundromat around 1 p.m. Tuesday, but all are expected to be OK.
Police said the semi was traveling west on Jefferson Boulevard when the driver lost control and went into the parking lot at Laundry Express in the 2400 block of West Jefferson Boulevard. The truck hit three parked cars as it crashed through the building.
Amy Neher rushed to the scene after getting a call that her daughter’s best friend was sitting in a pickup truck in the parking lot when the semi hit the driver’s side.
“Thank God nobody is really hurt. But it’s shocking that everybody’s okay,” Neher said.
