TinCaps walk off Lake County to kick off home stand

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – The TinCaps have finally won a series opener this season, and it came in walk off fashion after Justin DeCriscio drove in the game-winning run in a 6-5 win on Tuesday at Parkview Field.

Tuesday’s series opener started off on a sour note for Fort Wayne. Lake County opened the game with four runs in the first inning before the TinCaps got to the plate.

Jack Costello started the TinCaps’ comeback with a 2-run bomb to left field in the second inning. Alex McCoy drove in DeCriscio to make it a 4-3 game through three innings. Costello brought in the tying run in the sixth inning with a sacrifice fly scoring Lamar King Jr. Carlos Rodriguez then gave Fort Wayne their first lead of the night with a RBI double, bringing in Alex McCoy and making it a 5-4 lead for the TinCaps…
