Homestead’s Orofino earns medalist honors at boys golf regional

WINONA LAKE, Ind. (WANE) – Homestead’s Holden Orofino sunk an improbable birdie putt on 18 to finish out a spectacular round of golf on Thursday at Stonehenge as Orofino shot a -3 (68) to earn medalists honors at the boys regional meet.

Homestead came in second as a team with a 303, one shot behind Plymouth as the Rockies won their first-ever regional title in boys golf. Warsaw finished third at 304 as the Tigers, Spartans, and Rockies will all advance to state.
