FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WFFT) – The Fort Wayne Cinema Center is celebrating their 50th anniversary this year, and they are using the milestone as a chance to bring facilities up to the 21st century.
The nonprofit organization first began in 1976.
“Back then, it was sort of like this travelling theatre community – it went around with different community partners and provided a space for people to enjoy film together and have meaningful discussions around film together,” Cinema Center Development Director Molly Conner says. “I think that is still kind of the heart of the Cinema Center. It is not just a movie theatre, it’s more of a gathering space for people to come together and experience film together…”…
