FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) — In the parking lot of his former workplace, Jacob Klotz’s friends gathered to celebrate his memory and raise money for his family.
The close friends of the man killed in a shooting at a nightclub on August 8 put together a fundraising event in his honor Sunday evening at Break & Run. All proceeds raised from the event, including t-shirts, were given to Jacob’s family to assist with any expenses in the wake of his death. The fundraiser also served as an educational opportunity to spread awareness of unnecessary gun violence.
Matty B, a local DJ and close friend of Jacob, said Jacob is remembered for always having a smile on his face.
“He was the life of the party. I really can’t say that enough. He knew everybody because he was just a light in a dark spot. Just an all-around amazing guy,” he said…
