The Fort Wayne-Allen County Airport Authority celebrated the completion of Project Gateway, a transformative multi-year investment that modernizes Fort Wayne International Airport (FWA) and positions it to serve the region’s continued growth for decades to come.
Community leaders, project partners and elected officials gathered for a ribbon-cutting ceremony to officially mark the completion of the airport’s terminal expansion and renovation, the centerpiece of Project Gateway.
“Today represents much more than the completion of a construction project,” said Scott Hinderman, chief executive officer of the Fort Wayne-Allen County Airport Authority. “Project Gateway reflects our commitment to providing travelers with an exceptional experience while creating a modern airport that supports the continued growth of Fort Wayne and Northeast Indiana.
