FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – The Fort Wayne Police Department (FWPD) says it is looking into an incident involving several FWPD Officers that was caught on camera by a bystander and posted online.
FWPD issued a press release on Saturday addressing the concerns the video brought to hundreds of netizens weighing in on the incident, saying that their officers in the video were making an arrest near Barr Street and Dewald Street.
“We take community concerns seriously, especially when a video raises questions about police actions. We understand people want answers quickly. We are reviewing the incident, gathering available video, and determining the facts. Videos may show important information, but they may not show everything that occurred before, during, or after an incident.
