LAGRANGE COUNTY, Ind. (WANE) – An 80-year-old woman, a 1-year-old child and two other passengers were hospitalized after a crash Tuesday morning east of LaGrange.
Just before 8:15 a.m., deputies with the LaGrange County Sheriff’s Office responded to a crash between a minivan and an SUV at the intersection of U.S. 20 and S.R. 3. Investigators determined the 80-year-old woman driving the minivan on S.R. 3 didn’t yield to traffic on the highway and collided with the SUV.
The woman, identified as Clara Payne of Colon, Michigan, was trapped in the van. Once first responders got her out, Payne had to be flown to a Fort Wayne hospital for chest pain and other injuries, the sheriff’s office said…
