FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE)— A Fort Wayne man with a past of addiction and prison time is turning a new leaf with the creation of a nonprofit.
Jon-Erik McNeal is the founder and CEO of Day 41 Brotherhood. He said 40 is a significant number in the bible, often representing a period of struggle.
“Day 41 is like the day you step out, finally get outside of the rain,” McNeal said. “Finally when all the guilt, shame and remorse of addiction, when all of that is gone and you start a new life and walk on a path toward recovery and God.”
What led to this point
