FWPD warns about realistic looking water guns during senior assassin game

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) — You may have seen kids in floaties, goggles, and life jackets running around with water guns. They are not joyous harbingers of the summer months, but participants in a game.

“Senior assassin or water wars is basically wear floaties or goggles, or you’re out if you’re shot with water,” said Grace Miller, a senior at Homestead High School. “It doesn’t have to be a water gun… You can use water balloons, you can use water bottles, anything that has water can be used.”

Most local high schools are running versions of the game with slight alterations (including pots of money for inners), but in short, if you are caught off school property without your floaties, goggles, or life jacket, you can get shot by a water gun and get “killed” or put out of the game…
