DOJ indicts 8 people on illegal gambling business

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) — Eight people have been indicted by a federal grand jury in Fort Wayne for allegedly operating an illegal gambling business.

The indictment, announced Friday, follows a joint investigation by the FBI, Indiana Gaming Commission, Indiana State Police, and the Allen County Prosecutor’s Office. Authorities say the group is accused of “conducting, financing, managing, supervising, directing, and owning an illegal gambling business in violation of Title 18, United States Code section 1955.”
