(WPTA) – As fuel prices remain high, local law enforcement is asking residents and businesses to be proactive in securing their personal fuel tanks and fuel storage areas.
Authorities say high fuel costs often lead to an increase in fuel theft incidents.
To secure personal fuel tanks or fuel storage areas, authorities say to follow these safety measures: use quality locks and secure access points; change or strengthen keypad/access codes regularly; install extra lighting, security cameras, and surveillance systems; and park equipment and vehicles in well-lit locations…
