Where I Live: Arlington Heights neighbors build their lives around its art, food and history

Arlington Heights is where art, food and history intersect. The neighborhood is a triangle bordered by Camp Bowie Boulevard on the north, Montgomery Street on the east and I-30 on the south.

I have lived here since 1989, after graduating from TCU and becoming a teacher in FWISD. My husband has lived in Arlington Heights his whole life. We live in the house he grew up in, a house that has been in his family for 62 years. He attended South Hi Mount Elementary School, Stripling Middle School and Arlington Heights High School. Our daughter graduated from Heights in 2014.

Where I Live spotlights Tarrant County’s unique neighborhoods, as told by the residents that live there. Submit an essay to tell us about your neighborhood. Where I Live is sponsored by Frost Bank
