‘Car Condos’ Roll Into Colleyville as Garages of America Expands

Texas luxury garage pioneer Garages of America is entering the Tarrant County market with a new location planned in Colleyville.

Located at the corner of John McCain Road and Colleyville Boulevard, the project will encompass 93,000 square feet across four buildings. Two will contain 47 individually owned luxury garage suites, the company’s raison d’être. The remaining two buildings will offer about 45,000 square feet of flex and office space for lease.

“The Colleyville project is 56% pre-leased and pre-sold already, and we only got approved for zoning 30 days ago,” Garages of America founder Fred Gans told CandysDirt.com. “It’s going to be a barn burner.”

Unlike many vehicle storage facilities, Garages of America sells its units like condominiums. Owners can customize the climate-controlled suites as collector-car showrooms, hobby workshops, or even entertaining spaces. The concept has expanded steadily across North Texas and other parts of the Lone Star State since the company launched its first location in Plano in 2014…
