Before opening Floating Lotus Tea this summer, a Fort Worth tea sommelier who goes by her artist name Choke — which stands for Creating Her Own Kinetic Energy — had been working with the herb for many years prior.
She owned an herbal apothecary across three locations, including one based in Near Southside. The artist relaunched her business to focus on camellia sinensis, or tea plant.
