There is likely no better day for a Fort Worthian to attend the State Fair of Texas — located over there at Fair Park on Dallas’ south side — than on Monday, Oct. 5.
Of course, every day between now and Oct. 18 — when the fair concludes its 24-day run — offers plenty of opportunity to eat your weight in fried junk food and bask in constant, live soundwaves. But only on Oct. 5 can you listen exclusively to Fort Worth artists.
Billed as the Hear Fort Worth Day, the showcase will stage singers Trevor Douglas (stage name TRVR?), Mollie Danel, Matthew McNeal, and Brandon Marcel (stage name .Marcel.) beginning at 1 p.m. and closing with the .Marcel. appearance at 7:30 p.m. While the State Fair has certainly dipped its toes in the pool of a great many Cowtown performers, this is the first time they’ve dedicated an entire day to only those with a Fort Worth zip code…
