California woman hit, killed on I-75 in Rockcastle County while chasing escaped pet

MOUNT VERNON, Ky. (FOX 56) — State police are investigating a deadly crash that happened Monday in Rockcastle County.

Troopers said they were called June 8 to Interstate 75 northbound near the 62-mile marker for a crash involving a pedestrian.

According to investigators, 33-year-old Morabia Siddhi Suresh, of Fremont, California, was involved in a separate crash, got out of her vehicle, and began chasing a pet that had escaped.
