The Palo Alto Unified Board of Education on Friday named Jason Glass, a veteran educator and former superintendent of Laguna Beach Unified School District, as the new district superintendent, pending approval of his contract at its June 16 board meeting.
Glass was selected after a months-long search that was prompted by former Superintendent Don Austin’s departure in February. The board unanimously selected Glass at a special meeting on May 31 but did not disclose the identity of the next superintendent until Saturday afternoon.
