California Woman Killed on Kentucky Interstate While Trying to Rescue Escaped Pet

MOUNT VERNON, Ky. – The Kentucky State Police is reporting that KSP Post 11 London was notified on June 8, 2026, of a single vehicle collision involving a pedestrian on I-75 northbound near the 62-mile marker in Rockcastle County.

The preliminary investigation determined that Morabia Siddhi Suresh, 33 years old of Fremont, CA, had been involved in a separate collision, exited her vehicle, to rescue her pet, that had escaped from the vehicle. Ms. Siddhi Suresh, while attempting to catch the pet, entered into the path of a 2026 Chevrolet Malibu operated by Caleb Valentine, 25 years old of London, KY, causing the vehicle to collide with Ms. Suresh.

As a result of the collision, Ms. Suresh was transported to Rockcastle Regional Hospital due to her injuries, where she later succumbed to those injuries. She was pronounced deceased by the Rockcastle County Coroner’s Office…
