Cooler weekend weather with breezy conditions

(KRON) — This weekend will feature cooler afternoon temperatures with breezy to gusty onshore winds at times. Hazardous beach conditions will continue with an increased risk of sneaker waves and strong rip currents. Afternoon temperatures Saturday will be below normal. A warming trend begins Sunday, with moderate heat concerns inland by midweek.

An area of low pressure remains over the Bay Area Saturday keeping a deep marine layer in place. Low clouds expand across much of the Bay Area in the morning with patchy drizzle possible along the coast leading to locally slick roads. The marine layer is around 3000 feet deep, helping keep temperatures similar to Friday.

Highs will range from the upper 50s to around 70 degrees near the coast. Inland highs will reach the 70s to lower 80s, remaining below normal for this time of year. Clouds will pull back toward the coast in the afternoon, allowing for more sunshine inland, though some coastal areas may stay mostly cloudy.
