LIVERMORE, CA — Francisco G. Perez, 35, of Pleasanton, faces drug- and firearms-related charges, following his arrest in Livermore on June 24. Perez was allegedly found in possession of a loaded handgun and cocaine when he was stopped for a traffic violation.
Police observed his vehicle run a stop sign near the intersection of Holmes Street and Alden Lane at 8:20 a.m. After pulling Perez over, officers discovered his license was suspended because of a DUI conviction.
While preparing to impound the vehicle, officers searched the vehicle prior to it being towed. This resulted in the discovery of more incriminating evidence. Inside the vehicle officers found a loaded a Glock handgun and more than one ounce of cocaine. Perez was also carrying a large amount of cash.
