More than 80 pounds of mail suspected stolen from residents of multiple Bay Area cities was recovered last week by investigators from the Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety.
Working with California Parole Agents, the investigators searched residences of a man and a woman suspected of robbing mailboxes, many of which were at large apartment buildings or condominium complexes with one central area for receiving mail. In the searches, they found not only mail intended for Sunnyvale residents but also for addresses in San Jose, Mountain View, Menlo Park, Oakland and Sausalito, according to a Facebook post by the agency.
