Foster mom left Baby Jaxon alone with his suspected killer: claim

SAN JOSE, Calif. (KRON) — On Easter, a foster mother allegedly left a toddler home alone in San Jose with her 17-year-old son.

Hours after the foster mother left home, someone called 911, and police found 2-year-old Jaxon Juarez unconscious in his crib, according to a wrongful death claim recently filed on behalf of the toddler’s biological father and grandmother. Jaxon was placed on life support and declared deceased in a hospital days later.

The foster mother’s son, who is now 18, is charged with sexually assaulting and murdering the 2-year-old boy, referred to as “Baby Jaxon” by prosecutors.

Jaxon had been previously removed from his father’s home, and placed in the abusive foster home by authorities with Santa Clara County Department of Family and Children’s Services (DFCS) in February, the claim filed by law firm Kiesel Law states. He only survived there for a few months. During that time, suspicious marks on the toddler’s body were reported to county authorities, however, DFCS failed to remove him from danger, the claim alleges…
