More than 200 Bay Area tech jobs cut at Intel, Uber and Patreon

Intel plans to eliminate 103 jobs at four Bay Area offices next month, extending a series of layoffs at the Silicon Valley chipmaker.

The permanent cuts at its Santa Clara facilities will take effect Aug. 15, according to notices filed with California officials.

The largest reduction affects 67 employees at Intel’s SC-12 building on Juliette Lane. The company will also cut 24 jobs at its Robert Noyce Building headquarters, 10 at another Juliette Lane office and two at a Laurelwood Road location…
