Terra Restaurant and Bar, the rooftop dining venue at Eataly Silicon Valley, was ordered closed Friday after Santa Clara County inspectors found live and dead cockroaches in the restaurant’s kitchen and food preparation areas.
The county Department of Environmental Health suspended Terra’s health permit and ordered all operations to cease, according to an official inspection report dated Aug. 14.
The report says inspectors “found a live cockroach crawling on the wall above the hand wash sink in the kitchen.” It also documented dead cockroaches on the wall above a hand-washing sink in the food-preparation area…
