Bay Area, CA Weather Alert: 16-Foot Waves Possible Oct. 11-12

San Francisco, CA — Rising tides could push seawater across low-lying coastal roads, parks and shoreline trails around San Francisco through Tuesday, October 13. Dangerous surf adds another threat, with breaking waves potentially reaching 16 feet.

According to the National Weather Service in San Francisco, a Coastal Flood Advisory remains in effect until 3 p.m. Tuesday. Flooding up to 1.4 feet above ground level is possible in vulnerable coastal locations.
