Nick Saban zings ‘College GameDay’ teammate with brutal ‘girlfriend’ clap back

Nick Saban drew some early morning laughs from the ESPN “College GameDay” crew at a fellow broadcaster and Stanford’s expense.

On Saturday, the famed pregame show was set at the University of California in Berkley for the first time in program history, and former Cardinal tight end Steve Coughlin, who is also known as Stanford Steve, was quick to make a jab at the Cal students behind him.

“I am biased though when it comes to the Cal fans,” Coughlin said while wearing a Stanford zip-up. “Whenever I played in that stadium it was sold out, they do a great job. But, I also wonder how many of these people are here because they didn’t get into Stanford.”

The comment fired up the crowd, and Pat McAfee yelled, “Shots fired!”
