Tesla has struck deals to lease two big industrial buildings, one in Fremont and the other in San Jose, as the electric vehicle maker widens its footprint in the Bay Area.
The tech company leased an industrial site at 49000 Milmont Dr. in Fremont. That building totals 267,100 square feet, according to a marketing brochure circulated by CBRE commercial real estate executives Chip Sutherland and Vince Machado, who brokered the rental deal.
Tesla also leased a building at 2256 Junction Ave. in North San Jose that totals 107,700 square feet. CBRE has been scouting for tenants at that location.
