Bay Area teen dies after SUV veers off road and overturns in Nevada

An 18-year-old Bay Area woman died last week after a rollover crash on a rural highway in eastern Nevada, according to the Nevada Highway Patrol.

Troopers responded to a report of a crash at about 9:50 a.m. on April 24 on State Route 487 near mile marker 7 in White Pine County, authorities said. The location is roughly a half-mile north of Baker and about seven miles west of the Utah border.

A preliminary investigation found that a burgundy Ford Expedition was traveling northbound when it veered off the right side of the roadway, the highway patrol said.
