Weekend weather puts some PG&E customers on alert for ‘likely shutoffs’

(KRON) — Windy conditions in the Bay Area over the weekend have put some counties serviced by PG&E on alert for “likely shutoffs,” according to the PG&E Outage Center 7-day forecast.

“Due to high winds and dry conditions, a shutoff is likely,” the website reads.

PG&E is monitoring the weather pattern in 15 counties that could lead to the proactive power shutoffs to reduce fire risk.
