FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – A Fresno road that connects to Highway 99 will be closed for approximately two months due to emergency sewer repair work, according to city officials.
Eastbound Jensen Avenue, between Sarah Street and East Avenue, will be shut starting Monday, June 1, and that closure is expected to last until early August, pending unforeseen delays.
City officials add that westbound Jensen Avenue will remain open during the construction work, and there will still be access to businesses on the side of Jensen Avenue where the work is taking place.
The construction work is expected to impact those using Jensen Avenue to access Highway 99. Drivers are encouraged to use Cherry Avenue to go north as far as Church Avenue, then go south on Golden State Boulevard to reconnect with the other side of the closure on Jensen Avenue…
