KINGSBURG, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – Voters in Kingsburg have approved Measure E, renewing a local sales tax that city leaders say helps fund public safety. Voters like June Hess are in favor of the measure.
“I voted yes to approve Measure E. It’s not adding an extra tax to the burdened taxpayer, but it is added to the sales tax. So actually, everybody that visits our town and buys something contributes to our safety,” Owner of Svensk Butik, June Hess said.
City Manager Alex Henderson said Measure E passed back in 2018 with a 10-year sunset clause, but this new version doesn’t expire…
