Firefighters, DEA respond to possible fentanyl exposure at Fresno apartment complex

FRESNO, Calif. (FOX26) — A hazardous materials response at a Fresno apartment complex prompted evacuations and a major street closure Thursday morning after residents reported getting sick and investigators considered the possibility of fentanyl exposure.

Fresno Fire Department crews responded at about 10:30 a.m. to the Renaissance at Alta Monte, a multifamily complex, after reports that people were coughing and throwing up at one of the units.
