Chop shop uncovered in Madera after police spot stolen truck: PD

MADERA, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – Police stumbled upon a Madera chop shop on Friday after reporting finding a stolen truck.

Officers say they noticed the truck on Friday while patrolling the 1400 block of Sharon Boulevard. According to police, it had been reported stolen the previous day.

During a search of a nearby residence, they say they found evidence of an active chop shop, including additional stolen vehicles that were in the process of being dismantled.

The homeowner, 54-year-old Juan Pozos, was arrested and booked into the Madera County Jail on charges of operating a chop shop and offenses related to auto theft…
