One reason Fresno may get a bad rap is that we typically aren’t great at branding or self-mythologizing.
If we celebrate our history at all, it’s ag, it’s William Saroyan. Maybe it’s the Forestiere Underground Gardens (which we wrecked a lot of before someone belatedly figured they might be worth preserving).
