Man arrested in Hanford for vehicle theft in Fresno, police say

HANFORD, Calif. ( KSEE/KGPE ) – A man has been arrested in Hanford after allegedly stealing a vehicle in Fresno, the Hanford Police Department said on Tuesday.

Officers say the Hanford Police Department Dispatch Center received information regarding a stolen vehicle from Fresno, traveling on Hanford Armone Road within Hanford at around 1:10 p.m. on Tuesday.

Shortly thereafter, officers successfully located the stolen vehicle as it was traveling northbound on 11th Avenue near Highway 198. A traffic stop was initiated, leading to the driver, identified as Eddie Criado, pulling over.

According to police, he was taken into custody on suspicion of possession of a stolen vehicle.

During the investigation, officers say they learned that Eddie was on parole for a previous auto theft offense.
