Clovis’ Planet Fitness sets a ‘tentative reopening’ as construction continues

CLOVIS, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – The Planet Fitness in Clovis, which temporarily closed last month, has a tentative reopening date as work continues to make the building safe again.

A poster attached to the gates surrounding the construction site states that the tentative reopening date was set for the week of April 6.

Meanwhile, members of the gym at Clovis Avenue and Shaw Avenue are being given “exclusive perks” as work on the gym continues – and members are being allowed to use neighboring locations as well.

Video of the construction effort shows work focused on the front of the building, including the roof area, which is now missing its previous facade.

After the Clovis gym closed, the City of Clovis told YourCentralValley.com that it was not safe for people to go inside. At the time, officials said the covered front entry area appeared to be pulling away from the building and needed to be repaired…
