2 rescued, 2 homes damaged in Fresno house fire

FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – Two people were rescued from a house fire in central Fresno after they were trapped in a secured, enclosed patio with a wrought-iron fence early Tuesday morning, according to the Fresno Fire Department.

Fire crews say they responded shortly after 1 a.m. to a house fire near Ashlan Avenue and Fresno Street.

At the time, fire officials say resources were already tied up at a separate apartment fire, forcing crews to pull units from farther away…
