FRESNO, Calif (KSEE/KGPE) – A university professor who was reportedly “into babies” was convicted for child sexual exploitation offenses after agreeing to travel to Fresno to meet a 7-year-old girl.
He was identified as 48-year-old Rodger Githens of West Sacramento. He was most recently employed at the University of the Pacific, a private college in Stockton.
The DA says in March 2023, using the profile “Tall laid back,” Githens started communicating with an undercover agent on Grindr, whom he believed lived in Fresno. After moving the conversation to Telegram, the DA says he told the agent he had taboo thoughts every day and “was into babies.”…
