FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – A driver who said that their car was acting strangely in Fresno pulled over to see it burst into flames on Thursday, officials say.
According to the Fresno Fire Department, the fire in the area of Olive Avenue and Peach Avenue started at around 1:30 p.m. after the driver described the car as acting strangely and smoking. He pulled over to discover that the car was on fire.
Crews say both the driver and passenger were able to get out. The driver sustained minor burns to his hands and forearms while trying to open the hood and was treated on scene.
