Yesterday’s scare outside a Lewisville apartment complex ended with two men in handcuffs, four guns off the street, and a car burned out after catching fire, according to police.
Lewisville officers were called out after reports that two males were waving and pointing firearms at people outside the complex. When officers arrived, they recovered four firearms at the scene. A short time later, they responded to a vehicle fire, where the Lewisville Fire Department stepped in to put out the blaze. No injuries were reported. Police said one of the seized guns had previously been reported stolen to the Collin County Sheriff’s Office.
According to the Lewisville Police Department, officers tracked down both individuals, secured several weapons, and later responded to the vehicle fire. The department’s post included photos of multiple handguns laid out on evidence paper and a charred vehicle, and it notes that one recovered firearm matched a stolen-gun report filed with the Collin County Sheriff’s Office.
