An Allen High School graduate is spending his summer inside a Washington, D.C., federal office as part of a competitive Texas A&M University internship program.
Alex Bastia, a 2024 Allen High School graduate and Texas A&M University junior majoring in business honors and finance, recently began a summer internship at the U.S. Department of Commerce, International Trade Administration, Office of Southeast Asia.
Bastia is one of 15 students selected for the internship through Texas A&M’s Public Policy Internship Program. His duties include monitoring legislation, attending hearings and briefings, preparing reports and researching policy issues for senior staff members…
