KFC Is Getting A Major Makeover And North Texas Will Be First To See It

KFC is entering what it calls its “next chapter,” and North Texas is at the center of the transformation. The global restaurant chain has unveiled one of the most significant brand overhauls in its 74-year history, introducing new menu innovations, modern restaurant designs and refreshed branding that will eventually reach its more than 34,000 restaurants across 150 countries.

Leading the U.S. rollout is a next-generation restaurant concept in McKinney, where KFC plans to debut its first “Open House” prototype later this summer near Yum! Brands’ global headquarters in Plano.

A New Look For A Familiar Brand

While Colonel Sanders isn’t going anywhere, much of the customer experience is changing.

KFC’s refreshed identity includes updated packaging, modernized branding and redesigned restaurants that place a greater emphasis on hospitality, flexibility and customer experience.
