Well, if you can put up with two more days of heat advisories, we’ve got a little bit of a break on the way this weekend. A weak cold front arrives early Saturday, and if you’re one of the lucky ones, you might even wake up to a little rain on your windshield—or some much-needed watering for the lawns. Cooler temperatures will follow for the weekend before the heat starts building back in next week.

It’s another warm, muggy start with temperatures in the upper 70s to lower 80s. Yesterday we actually underachieved; DFW Airport topped out at only 99 degrees. Today will be a different story as highs climb back to around 101 to 102 degrees, and heat advisories are once again in effect…
