Salad and Go (Coppell, Texas) has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection and has shuttered all its remaining locations, effective Aug. 5, report a variety of sources, including Nation’s Restaurant News and Phoenix New Times. The company cited consumer pressures, inflation and overexpansion for the decision to close its remaining 70 locations – 63 in Arizona and the rest in the Las Vegas area. (As recently as May 2025, the drive-thru-only chain had 140 restaurants, but since then has closed locales in Nevada, Texas and Oklahoma, report several sources.)
“While Salad and Go earned the support and loyalty of a deeply passionate community, the business was ultimately unable to overcome sustained pressure on consumer demand, past strategic growth challenges and rising costs,” the company said. “A cyclospora outbreak in July, in which Salad and Go was not implicated, weakened confidence across the industry and compounded these challenges.”
The company was founded in 2013 in Gilbert, Ariz., by husband-and-wife team Tony and Roushan Christofellis, with the help of executive chef Daniel Patino.
