A cacophony of horns and hoots filled the Denton Square as crowds gathered to admire the city’s “rolling art gallery.”
Denton’s Arts & Autos had their Art Car Alley kick-off event on Sept. 11. The parade of cars drove three laps around the Square before driving to the Patterson-Appleton Arts Center, located at 400 E. Hickory St. The center was full of live music, art car tours and community graffiti paintings on locally donated cars to be displayed as an art project.
Krissi Oden, executive director of the Greater Denton Arts Council, led the procession of “cartists.” As she honked the horn of her Subaru at every corner, crowds gathered outside of stores and restaurants to admire the “art cars.”…
